So, you’ve decided to join the AAR Members Club to unlock those juicy competitions, exclusive perks, and all-around airgun awesomeness—only to hit a roadblock before you can even load your first virtual mag. Frustrating, right?
Well, you’re not alone! It seems some email providers (looking at you, Hotmail, Outlook, Live, and Yahoo) are having a bit of a meltdown when it comes to signing up. It’s as though our membership page is the airgun equivalent of a tricky target at 50 yards—it’s possible, but not without a bit of finesse.
Now, before you lose your mind and fire off an angry email saying, “You should have control over this!”… slow down, sharpshooter. The signup system we use is designed to keep your personal data safe and secure. It’s separate from our site for a very good reason: even if our side ever got hacked (not that we’re planning on it, of course), your information would remain locked up tighter than a squirrel’s stash of acorns. Safety first, people!
Here’s How to Fix It:
1. The Ol’ “Forgot Password” Trick
Head over to the login page and select “Forgot Password”. Pop your email address into the field and hit submit. Now, here’s the clever part: even if you don’t have an account yet, this might still let you sneak through the back door and create one.
You should receive an email (if the system is feeling generous) with instructions on how to reset your password. Be sure to follow the rules for password creation—none of that “123456” nonsense—and complete the CAPTCHA test to prove you’re not a robot.
If this works, congrats! You’re in. Go forth and enjoy the spoils of your AAR membership.
2. Contact Us for a “Manual Override”
If the “Forgot Password” method fails (or if the internet gods continue to spite you), don’t throw in the towel just yet. Instead, contact us using the live chat feature on the site. Provide us with your full name and email address, and we’ll see what we can do to manually create your account.
3. Last Resort: Make a Gmail Account
Okay, we know this might not be what you want to hear, but seriously… consider making a Gmail account. We’re only half joking when we say it’ll probably solve all your problems. Google’s email service plays nice with our system, and it’s free, fast, and reliable. Plus, who doesn’t want a shiny new email address to sign up for all their favourite airgun-related content? Sign up for Gmail
We get it: signing up should be easy, and we’re working to iron out these quirks. In the meantime, follow these steps, try not to throw your laptop out the window, and remember: every great shot takes patience and perseverance.
Happy shooting (and signing up)!— The AAR Team
Great too meet you today and for getting me sorted out 👍🏻
Wow thank you for this. I know a lot of sites would not go to this level of help.
Much appreciated. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
